Fremont is home. Our office is on Cushing Parkway, which means survey visits here are usually same week and often next day, and our crews are not burning an hour each way on the Dumbarton.
Fremont's housing stock splits sharply. The Mission San Jose and Warm Springs developments built from the 1990s onward generally have 200-amp panels with spare capacity, and those installs are straightforward — often four hours, wall-mounted, done. Older Centerville, Niles and Irvington homes frequently run 100-amp service, and there a load-management device usually beats a full panel upgrade by several thousand dollars.
Fremont has an unusually high EV ownership rate, partly because of the Tesla factory on Fremont Boulevard and the broader manufacturing presence. Practically, that means we see a lot of two-EV households here, and two cars on one circuit is a genuine design question rather than a theoretical one. Load sharing between two units on a shared feeder solves it without a service upgrade in most cases.
Electrical permits go through the City of Fremont Building & Safety Division. Straightforward residential EV charger permits are typically issued quickly over the counter or online, and inspection scheduling is generally not a bottleneck. We pull the permit and meet the inspector.
