Permits and inspection in Fremont
Electrical permits go through the City of Fremont Building & Safety
Division. Straightforward residential EV charger permits are typically issued quickly
over the counter or online, and inspection scheduling is generally not a bottleneck.
We pull the permit and meet the inspector.
What we install in Fremont
All three of our units are available here, and the right one depends on how long the
vehicles sit parked rather than on the property type:
-
AX-Home 40 — 9.6 kW Level 2
for houses and townhouses. Roughly 30 miles of range per hour, which fills any
commuter EV overnight. $1,400–$3,200 installed.
-
AX-Fleet 80 — dual-port
19.2 kW for workplaces, apartment parking and light fleet depots, with load sharing
and per-driver billing.
-
AX-Rapid 180 — 180 kW DC
fast charging for retail and public sites, with CCS1 and NACS cables. Quoted per
site; utility timelines dominate the schedule.
Areas of Fremont we cover
We work throughout Fremont, including
Mission San Jose, Warm Springs, Niles, Irvington, Centerville, Ardenwood, Cherry-Guardino and Glenmoor.
Rebates: Fremont is in PG&E territory, so utility
make-ready programmes may apply to commercial and multifamily projects. Note that
the federal 30C tax credit expired on 30 June 2026 — see our
current incentives page for what is genuinely still
available.
